Military PaYS Program
NOHSIC is pleased to be a registered partner with the U.S. Army Partnership for Youth Success (PaYS) program.
PaYS Program
The PaYS program provides America's youth with an opportunity to serve their country while they prepare for their future. Technical skills, work ethic, discipline, teamwork, communication, and leadership ability are attributes Soldiers possess. After completing their active duty tour, Regular Army Soldiers transition to the company or public sector agency selected during the recruiting process. Army Reserve Soldiers contact their partner upon completion of their intial entry training. Reserve Component cadets coordinate their employment interview during their senior year of college.
The PaYS Process
A database matches the job needs of employers with the job skills offered by the Army Reserve or Regular Army enables a qualified young person to choose a specific job skill with a particular partner.
The PaYS Interview
Prior to separation from the Regular Army PaYS Soldiers coordinate their transition to civilian life and contact the partner selected to interview with during the enlistment process. Army Reserve Soldiers contact the partner upon successful completion of their Initial Entry Training. Reserve Component cadets coordinate the interview with their PaYS partner during their senior year of college. Final coordination with the partner, to include the job application, interview and a pre-employment visitation is scheduled by the Soldier.
"The Army established the PaYS program as a means to share qualified individuals with employers. The Army carefully screens, selects, trains and provides hands-on experience to individuals in many different skills."
